Michael served in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003), then spent over a decade in nuclear energy — one of the most regulated industries in the world. He earned 2019 Instructor of the Year at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, led federal compliance assessments with 100% pass rates, and managed training programs where mistakes aren’t an option.
He left Fort Drum for Kuwait in 2003 — built Camp Arifjan, built Camp Udari, built roads and pipelines, and pulled security in the middle of a hot war zone. The Basra mission he trained for never materialized, which made the betrayal worse.
